THE SWIMMING POOL
How big is the pool?
The main pool is 17m long and slopes from 0 to 2m30 deep.
Is it heated?
The pool is not heated.
What are the opening dates and times for the pool complex?
The pool complex is open from 10am to 7pm from mid-May until the end of September, and from 10am to 8pm in July and August. (This may vary according to weather conditions.)
Is there a children's pool?
Yes. The small pool is 60cm deep.
What are the conditions of entry to the swimming pool?
Entry to the swimming pool is strictly limited to people staying on the campsite. For hygiene reasons, swimming shorts and other clothes are completely prohibited. Only swimwear may be worn. You are required to walk through the footbath to access the pool complex and take a shower each time you swim. You must wear your “Le Garden” bracelet when in the pool complex.
How far is the beach?
The nearest beach is 400m away. It is approximately 10 minutes’ walk, via the path from the campsite. If you prefer Grand Travers beach, you will need to drive around 800m. Grand Travers beach allows dogs at access number 25, 4km away.
How far is the town centre?
The town centre is about 800m away.
Where are the nearest shops?
There is a shopping centre on the campsite, with a convenience store, takeaway, bread and cake counter, pizzeria, restaurant and bar, and a newsagent selling international papers, cigarettes and lottery tickets.
What equipment is provided?
The kitchen is equipped with crockery, a four-burner gas hob, a fridge-freezer and a microwave.
Is there air conditioning?
Our mobile homes are not air-conditioned.
Are sheets and blankets included?
All our mobile homes are equipped with pillows, duvets and disposable pillow and mattress covers.
You will need to bring your own pillowcases, sheets and towels. We do not rent out laundry or towels.
Can we rent a cot/high chair?
We do not rent out these items.
Is there a television in the mobile home?
There is an aerial socket if you wish to bring your own flat-screen TV with built-in TNT tuner. We do not rent out televisions.
Can we park in front of the mobile home?
Yes, there is space to park one car. If you have a second vehicle, you can park it in the free public car park outside the campsite.
Is there internet access on the campsite?
Yes, Wi-Fi is available near reception, and you can access it free of charge for one hour each day.
Are the pitches well shaded?
Mostly, yes. However, it is important to understand that the amount of sun on a pitch depends on the way it faces and the time of day.
Are barbecues allowed?
Charcoal barbecues are prohibited by order of the local council, but you may use a gas or electric barbecue.
Can you fill in our holiday vouchers?
Yes, of course! We do not accept them as a form of payment, but we can fill in the documents for you. We can also provide you with a holiday certificate. Please note: we are not a VACAF partner (we cannot accept VACAF holiday vouchers as a payment method).
Is there a laundry?
Yes, washing machines and tumble dryers are available so that you can do your laundry on the campsite. Tokens are on sale at reception (€6 for the washing machine and €4 for the tumble dryer).
What about security? Is there a safe?
Our security team looks after security at the campsite. Safes are available to rent at reception.
What is the rating of the campsite?
We have been awarded four stars.
What is your availability like?
That’s always a difficult question to answer. Bookings are processed in the order we receive them, which means that certain accommodation may be available when you enquire but taken by the time we receive your booking.
How do we book?
There are three ways to book:
either online with a credit/debit card,
or by downloading the booking agreement and returning it us with a 30% deposit,
or by requesting a brochure and agreement by post and returning it to us with a 30% deposit.
Booking requests are processed in the order that we receive them, so long as they are complete.
Can we book for less than a week?
Yes, you can book for a minimum of 2 nights, except in August when we accept bookings by the week only.
What are your arrival and departure days?
You can arrive and depart any day of the week, except in August when arrivals and departures are on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays only.
How do we calculate the total cost of our stay?
You need to add up the price of mobile home rental (the rate given is per night), and then add on a tourist tax of €0.61 per person per day for everyone aged 18 or over (current rate), plus a €20 administration charge. Don’t forget to add any supplements, for example €2 for an animal in high season.

What payment methods do you accept?
Credit/debit cards (except American Express), cheques and French postal orders. We cannot accept CAF holiday vouchers as payment.
We do not accept ANCV holiday vouchers and we are not a VACAF partner.
Can we make a change to our booking?
Under certain conditions, yes. Please email our bookings department or phone us on +33 (0)4 67 56 50 09 so that we can find the best solution for you.
Can we arrive outside reception opening hours?
Yes. After reception closes, the security guard is available to give you the keys to your mobile home in exchange for a €400 deposit or a credit or debit card pre-authorisation.
You can then pop into reception the following day to complete the remaining paperwork.
Please let us know if you are going to be arriving after 10pm.
Can we leave outside reception opening hours?
Yes. You will need to clean your mobile home, and then leave us the keys together with your pool complex bracelets in the letter box.
Do you offer cancellation insurance?
How big are the pitches?
The pitches measure around 100m².
Are electricity and water included?
Yes. You will need to bring a European plug adaptor. Alternatively, you can purchase one from reception.
What is the power rating of the electricity hook-up?
Can we empty waste water on the pitch?
No. You can pour washing-up water down the drains if you need to, but not waste water. If you have a chemical toilet with a removable tank you can empty it in the toilet block.
Do you take bookings for pitches?
No. Our guests arrive and depart as they wish. However, it is helpful if you can let reception know the night before you are leaving.
Are there activities for children?
Yes, there is a children’s club, open in July and August.
Is it free? What is the age range?
Yes, the children’s club is free. It is open to children aged 6 to 12.
When is it open? How do I register my child?
The children’s club is open in July and August. To register your child, please collect a form from reception. Your form will be checked and given to the children’s club leader, who will keep it for the duration of your stay.
Is there evening entertainment?
No, not on the campsite. However, there is karaoke in the bar several times a week in high season. La Grande Motte town offers an extensive programme of activities (treasure hunts, fireworks, carnival, etc.).
Can I receive visitors?
A visitor is a person who comes to visit you for a short time but does not stay at Le Garden overnight. Visitors are admitted to the campsite, subject to permission from the manager or his/her representative. They visit under your responsibility.
No supplement is charged for day visitors, but they are not permitted to use the pool complex.
Do you accept dogs?
Yes. You must present an up to date health record book for your dog at reception. Dogs in Prefecture categories 1 and 2 are not accepted.
What about other animals?
Cats are not accepted in mobile homes.
